Desmond One Month | Havertown, PA Newborn Photographer

I met Desmond when he was around one month old and he reminded me so much of his big sister at that age.  He even wore one of the same outfits that she wore for her newborn session a few years ago.  It's amazing how much change change in a few years!  I really love arriving to a session and capturing those last few minutes of getting ready before we start.  It gives kids a little time to adjust to having me in their home and we really capture some nice "real life" moments :)

It's rare that I meet siblings who are as infatuated with the newest addition as the parents are.  These sweet kids just adored their new little sister and were so genuinely sweet with her it just warmed your heart.  I truly enjoyed spending my Sunday morning with this family of five and capturing the things that meant so much to them <3

Anyone who has spent more than one hour with a newborn knows, it's not peaceful and sleepy all the time; they sure do have their moments.  My style walks the line between lifestyle and documentary. As much as I love to capture beautiful shots of a newborn sleeping in their crib and cuddly, family shots on a bed... I love the truly, real-life moments - like the ones of you walking up and down endless flights of steps because that is what comforts your baby. That is the kind of love that years from now, you and your baby will want to look back at.  This family of three recently built their dream home and it was especially meaningful for them to have the session at home as opposed to a studio.  For most of the session, we worked in one room that was bright and airy and another room that had deep shadows.  I love how their gallery had images with a combination of light… it really helped captured all the various emotions that go with having a newborn at home.  It also helped to create some beautiful, high contrast black and white images.  I usually shoot for black and white intentionally and I knew the deep shadows would create some beautiful conversions.  This sweet family was amazing to work with and their daughter was as beautiful as the come <3

Baby J | Wallingford, PA Lifestyle Newborn Session

I worked with two super tiny babies in a row.  Meet baby J!  He is one strong little guy :)  He was about two months old at this session, but the session was done right around his due date.  He had such a loving big sister and it was fun to capture some photos of them together.  I have a soft spot for sibling photos and I always try to get a couple posed ones as well as a bunch of more candid type shots <3  This was my last session of 2016 and I can't wait to start sharing more of my current sessions!

Dolan Newborn | Malvern, PA

I met sweet little Dolan on a Sunday afternoon during the Eagles game :)  He had the most fun "big brother" as well... so we made sure to get a few shots of him with his best bud.  Dolan's favorite spot was in his mama's arms, so he spent a lot of time that way.  When you bring a baby home for the first time, your entire life suddenly rotates around feeding, changing, and if you're lucky, sleep!  I love to capture it all.  After all, this stage is only a phase and they grow up too fast.  I love having images of the early days with my girls to look back at <3

Lifestyle Newborn Session | West Chester, PA

I went to high school with Esther and we have keep in touch over social media for the last several years.  I was so excited to hear she was expecting her second baby and coming home to deliver him :)  After, I'm sure, what seemed like a whirlwind, he arrived safe and sound and we set up a newborn session over Labor Day weekend.  It was so good to see Esther again and meet her beautiful family.  I loved using the spaces they had in the home they were renting to create some of my very favorite black and white images <3

Baby Emma | Main Line In-home Lifestyle Newborn Session

It was pretty easy to fall in love with sweet little Emma.  She was six weeks old when I did this lifestyle shoot and was adored by her parents and big brother.  My favorite part about this shoot was capturing the natural sibling photos as they happened.  Some of my favorite shots were the ones that surprised us in the moment. I really love in-home sessions and capturing life as it is that day.  I'm sharing a lot of my favorite images today so you can have a better glimpse into what a gallery would look like for my newborn and in-home sessions.  One of my goals for these sessions is for you to be brought back to that period in your life as you look back on your images from that day.  I try to capture the essence of what it's like in those early days with your baby and children.  Enjoy!

I really could have just hung around and snuggled this sweet boy all afternoon. He was so sleepy and totally content in his mama's arms. We've had some really beautiful fall weather this year and were fortunate to be able to take some photos outside as well. I couldn't be happier for this sweet family!

Baby B | Haverford PA Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

I spent a relaxing afternoon with four week old baby B and his parents a few weeks ago. We followed the light as it moved through their house and B got lots of cuddles along the way. They had just moved in to their new house, but you would have never known it; they were unpacked and quickly making the house their home.

Baby R | West Chester PA Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with baby R and her family. She was so loved and so sleepy during our session. We took a walk at the beginning of our session and I loved that we were able to capture some shots outside!

Baby B | Main Line Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

I had a great time photographing this family of four; from jumping on beds to sweet newborn yawns, I think we covered it all! Baby B was so relaxed and calm throughout the entire session and is perfect new addition to their family!
